Cappella Cantorum at Carnegie Hall

Cappella Cantorum is delighted to announce the Carnegie Hall debut of Simon Holt, Music Director of its Masterworks Chorus.

Mr. Holt will conduct the Cappella Cantorum Masterworks Chorus, along with other invited choirs, in performing Mozart’s Requiem on June 7, 2025 at Carnegie Hall.

Singers who wish to participate in this event are encouraged to register for the Spring 2025 semester of Masterworks Chorus rehearsals, which will begin in January 2025. No audition is required. Check back our website for more information as it becomes available.

Singer Registration – Spring 2025

Registration and First Rehearsal for the Spring 2025 semester of the Cappella Cantorum Masterworks Chorus are scheduled for Monday, January 6th starting at 7pm, at Deep River Congregational Church (1 Church Street, Deep River, CT).  Please use the main Sanctuary entrance. Rehearsals will generally be held on Monday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00pm in the same location.

The music selection for the Spring semester will include Mozart’s Requiem. The Spring Concert will be on Sunday, April 27, 2025; the location of the concert will be announced in the near future.

Registration is $60 for the semester. Music is additional if you don’t already have the score.

Singers enrolled for the Spring 2025 semester will also have the option to participate in a performance of Mozart’s Requiem at Carnegie Hall on June 7, 2025 under the direction of Simon Holt (additional fees for travel & event participation apply).

Singers may pre-register on this website, or complete the full registration process in person on Registration Night. Late registrations (after January 6) are not a problem; you can still pre-register online and finish the process in person at the next available rehearsal. Singer Registration – Fall 2024

Registration and first rehearsal for the Fall 2024 semester of the Cappella Cantorum Masterworks Chorus are scheduled for Monday, September 9th starting at 7pm, at Deep River Congregational Church (1 Church Street, Deep River, CT).  Please use the main Sanctuary entrance. Rehearsals will generally be held on Monday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00pm in the same location.

The music selections for the fall semester will be announced by July 1. The Winter Concert will be on Sunday, December 15, 2024; the location of the concert will be announced in the near future.

Registration is $60 for the semester. Music is additional if you don’t already have the scores.

This semester’s music will be The Peacemakers by Karl Jenkins. The Spring Concert will be on Sunday, April 21, 2024. We will be joined for the concert by a youth choir from Lyme-Old Lyme High School, under the direction of Kristine Pekar.

Registration is $60 for the semester. Music is an additional $18 if you don’t already have a score.
