Non-Discrimination Policy

Cappella Cantorum is an equal opportunity organization. Discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, religion or creed, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, immigration status, physical disability, intellectual disability, learning disability, mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, genetic information (including family medical history), political associations, or military/veteran status is illegal and will not be tolerated in any of Cappella Cantorum’s activities or operations. This includes, but is not limited to, the appointment and removal of Board members; hiring and fining of employees or contractors; selection of chorus members, other performers, volunteers and vendors; and providing of services.

ADA/504 Coordinator

The President of the Cappella Cantorum Board of Directors acts as the ADA/504 Coordinator to facilitate compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, unless this role is delegated to another person and approved by the Board of Directors.

Grievance Procedure

Complaints concerning discrimination by Cappella Cantorum on the basis of disability or any other factor listed above should be directed to the President of the Cappella Cantorum Board of Directors by calling (860) 532-0454 or by emailing contact@cappellacantorum.org. The Board President will contact the complainant within 15 calendar days after receipt of the complaint to discuss the complaint and will respond in writing within 15 days of the discussion. If the complainant believes the complaint creates a conflict of interest for the President, any other Officer (Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer) may act as the primary point of contact for communicating the complaint.
