Welcome to Vocal Camp

Thank you and welcome to Cappella Cantorum’s first Vocal Camp! We have received your registration payment and are very excited to provide this vocal training to our wider singing community. We welcome all singers who want to further develop their singing skills.

Cappella Cantorum is a 48 year old non-auditioned community chorus, founded in 1970 by Barry Asch who was also the Music Director and Conductor until June 2017.  Our new Music Director and Conductor is Simon Holt. He is well known in this area as the founder and Artistic Director of Salt Marsh Opera as well as the Music Director of the Old Lyme Congregational Church. His full biography is included in your packet.

We are also very fortunate to have Brian Cheney helping with the vocal training. Their biography is also located in your packet.

Because this week is an intense training with much to cover, we ask that you arrive each night by 6:45 to be seated and ready to participate by 7:00 pm. Each session from Monday to Thursday will begin at 7:00 pm and end at 9:30 pm.

We welcome you and hope that you will have fun during this weeklong vocal camp. Friday evening the camp will culminate with a concert of the music which we have practiced during the week. Please be on time for all sessions.
